Recovering Our Table Manners
The Kingdom Living semester theme will be a journey to recover what is slipping away and give guidance on proper conversation regarding consumerism, homosexuality, politics and race issues. The metaphor of a set table reminds us that meals for Jesus were opportunities to be with friends, and to have important teaching conversations. During these meal times described in the Bible, we get a glimpse into His kingdom and what defines kingdom living for us. It is our purpose to be on guard about the influences that are affecting our lives. As we step into Kingdom Living, we lace it with mercy and grace in other worldly ways.

The complexity of broken relationships in the context of family can have a powerful negative affect upon us. Through the redemptive work of Christ and the journey of seeking help from a professional counselor, we can find freedom and wholeness.
The Old Testament directive regarding the lasting relationship between a master and slave being signified by the piercing of the slaves ear is a picture of the New Testament urging to present ourselves as living sacrifices to God.
We Have an Advocate
We have a loving heavenly Father that is for us. If we should sin He is our advocate with the Father and speaks to Him on our behalf. He fully understands our circumstances, and when we confess He has made the provision not only for our forgiveness, but has provided forgiveness for everyone.
