Laziness - Could It Be a Good Thing?
In this episode we talk about the term "Laziness" and how it could play an intricate part in our lives. For the most part, the term "laziness" has a negative connotation but we discuss whether or not laziness could be a good thing.

Sean “Sticks” Smith - Skill Development & College Recruiting
We're back! After a few weeks of being away, I'm happy to be back with a brand new episode that I hope brings lots of value to everyone.
In Episode 5 of the TakeFlight Podcast, I had an opportunity to talk with former Division 1 basketball coach, Sean "Sticks" Smith.
Sticks and I talk about his early days as a professional basketball player, a basketball coach for Rancocas Valley Boys Basketball and his transition into skill development, which led to working with some prominent names in the basketball community. After which, his skill development experiences led to collegiate coaching at University of Maine, Rider, and St. Francis College (Brooklyn).
Listen as Sticks provides insight into college recruitment, the journey, and the reality of the process. Find out where players and parents should focus their energy in hopes of getting recruited by colleges, as well as many other valuable gems.

In episode we sat down with our first guest, former Manasquan High School Girls Basketball player - Annie Mako. Great opportunity to catch up and talk about her introduction to basketball, her journey in the sport, and ultimately deciding to pursue life without basketball. Great listen for player going thru the recruiting process. Be sure to send your feedback.

At What Cost?
As parents we strive to help our child reach his/her dreams of playing basketball at the next level. In doing so, our kids are spending a ton of time competing year round, several dozen games in the course of a year. The question is, "At What Cost?". Studies show our kids are breaking down and their bodies are physically paying for it - in most cases by the time they even step on a college campus. This episode I wanted to start the conversation and give my thoughts on AAU, Specialization, and ask the question of what would it take for change to occur.
What do you think? Be sure to send me your thoughts, concerns, comments. -

Thank You Annie Mako
In this episode, I wanted to take a minute to thank Annie Mako for giving me an opportunity to work with her. Without that opportunity, it’s safe to say there would be no TakeFlight.
