    • Medicine

Nigeria is the largest black nation globally, with a current population estimated to be over 200 million. Nigeria is ranked the second-highest in road accidents and other emergencies(death and disabilities) among 193 countries of the world. Lagos is the only one with an organized state-run emergency medical service and a working public safety answering point/emergency communication centre of all the states in Nigeria.

In this episode, we are joined by Mr Charles Chiagoziem, a clinical prosthetist and orthotist who has focused on delivering ambulance services through his company (hiblance.com). We discuss the current state of emergency services in Nigeria and the need to standardize these services with the available competency framework provided by the WHO.
