    Steve Casares 
    Steve Casares is a West Point cadet and a Commissioned Intelligence Officer in the Army of the United States serving 18 years of combined active duty, reserve, federal, and corporate service. He has a desire to preserve our city and simultaneously protect its unique character and identity.

    Mason Gates
    Mason Gates is a 21-year old from Kansas City, Missouri where he grew up in a family of 8. Mason started 3 businesses before his 18th birthday, and began getting involved in politics at 13. Most notably, Mason is known for serving as the Director of Development and PR for Forty Love Org., which raises money for homeless outreach organizations. Mason is an American Legion Boys State alumni, which is among the most selective educational programs in the country for government instruction. Mason is the first citizen in the program's 85-year history to pass the Missouri Boys State Bar Exam without attending law school. Mason attended Arizona State University as a National Scholarship Recipient for the United States Army Reserve Officers Training Corps and is also a graduate brother of the fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, or FIJI. Mason now works as a commercial investment sales agent and a marketing director for a national hospitality conglomerate.

    Adam Kwasman
    Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Adam Kwasman developed a deep appreciation for community values and civic responsibility from an early age. His formative years instilled in him a commitment to service and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those around him. Adam earned his B.A. from Tulane University, his M.A. in economics from George Mason University, and his J.D. from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. His academic journey not only equipped him with a strong foundation of knowledge but also fueled his desire to contribute meaningfully to society. He is a husband and father of 4 too.

    Justin Laos is a 6th generation Arizonan who works as a software engineer, involved in community services projects like Rotary Club, Big brother big sisters, and served on the Scottsdale Board of Adjustment. Justin is looking to bring reasonable, not radical leadership to the city council. Justin is endorsed by former mayor Jim Lane, Scottsdale realtors, and state Rep Matt Gress.

    Tammy began her first term on the Scottsdale City Council in January 2021 and is currently seeking a second term. She has lived and worked in Scottsdale for almost 25 years, and is the president and owner of Yale Electric West, Inc, a Scottsdale company.  Married for over 21 years with 3 daughters who all attend our local schools.     Tom grew up in a small town in Iowa and attended Cornell College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude in 1977 with majors in Philosophy and History. Some of my earliest memories are of visiting my grandfather in Mesa where he had a pasture behind his house and rode horses. After graduating from Cornell, he attended NYU Law School in New York City, graduating in 1980. After graduating from NYU, Tom joined the Mayer Brown law firm in Chicago, an international law firm that specialized in tax controversy. He argued several appeals in the Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, which is generally regarded as the second most important court in the United States.Tom’s ability to analyze complex legal and factual situations and to "cut through" to the heart of the matter are essential to the City Council.     Maryann McAllen is a 59 year resident of Scottsdale, she is a small business owner, a community leader and activist. Maryann met her husband Sam while being a summer recreation leader for the City of Scottsdale, they have four young adult children and a fun fact about Maryann she is an avid Antique Button Collector.

Drawings are already occurring. The wildcat fire in north scottsdale was the largest of the season, rattlesnakes are out. And when any of these tragedies strikes, who do you call?     It’s back and starts this weekend! Old Town is full of events all month long to celebrate June Days. Check the calendar for dates/times and location for each event.

    Free concert series Sunday nights through the end of June. This Sunday is Candle in the Wind, and Elton John tribute. Food trucks will be there too.

Now he’s using his voice in an unscripted way. Colin Egglesfield was a waiter in Iowa when a radio commercial for a model search changed his life. The model turned actor is now using his voice in an unscripted manner, as an author, public speaker and cancer survivor advocate. Five years ago he released Agile Artist: Life Lessons From Hollywood and Beyond and with his follow up, Agile Artist, 90-Day Planner, out last month. Scottsdale resident Colin Egglesfield knows the power of voice, and wants to make sure his voice is making a difference for others.
