    When we hold on tightly to regret, we take ourselves out of the present moment. 

    This meditation will help you to surrender the regrets that hold you in the past, so you can fully embrace peace and joy in the now.  

    Relax into your body,

    Soften any tensions you’re holding in your back, 

    Shoulders, 

    And neck.

    PAUSE…

    Take a big cleansing deep breath in through your nose.

    Hold at the top for a moment,

    And then exhale through your mouth.

    PAUSE…

    Relax deeper into your heart.

    LONG PAUSE…

    There may be regrets rising up to the surface of your mind.

    The healing you’re seeking becomes stronger in your awareness.

    PAUSE…

    Imagine for a moment that you’re slowly walking down a path lined with trees.

    Birds and nature surround you.

    PAUSE…

    You slowly notice your back is feeling heavy and painful.

    You stop for a moment to rest.

    You notice that the backpack you’re carrying is weighing you down. 

    PAUSE…

    As you slowly remove the backpack and set it on the ground its label marked, regrets.

    You already know what’s inside.

    LONG PAUSE…

    You might feel ashamed,

    And afraid to open it.

    PAUSE…

    But you know peace awaits you within.

    PAUSE…

    What regrets might be hiding in there? 

    Not playing big in your career?

    The regret of letting an old relationship go?

    PAUSE…

    Or maybe a regret about your body and health?

    Be here for a moment, 

    Present with what comes up for you. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Breathe in love.

    Breathe in self-forgiveness.

    Breathe in compassion.

    LONG PAUSE…

    As you slowly open up the backpack, a butterfly softly flutters through the opening.

    You pause and watch it flutter away.

    A smile sneaks across your face because you know that the butterfly symbolizes one of your regrets.

    And you know the rest inside, 

    Desire freedom too. 

    PAUSE…

    Slowly open your bag, 

    And watch as one by one, 

    Butterflies escape,

    And regrets are released. 


    LONG PAUSE…

    You feel lighter.

    Free,

    As you surrender each regret,

    And allow them to float away.

    Tonight’s sleep meditation will help you ease into the softness of your sheets and fall asleep easily.

    Lay yourself down,

    And let yourself fall into bed.

    It’s time to rest now,

    Time to get out of your head.

    PAUSE…

    Melt into the sheets,

    The ocean of softness they bring.

    Let their waves wash over you,

    And slowly relax everything.

    PAUSE…

    Let your arms and legs get heavy,

    Let your shoulders drop down low.

    Let your chest open up,

    And your breath find its flow. 

    PAUSE…

    Breathe in and collect,

    Breathe out and release. 

    Breathe in with respect,

    Breathe out into peace.

    LONG PAUSE…

    Feel the soft sheets,

    Wrap you in their peace.

    They’ll take away the darkness,

    Breathe it out and release.

    The textures that you feel,

    Upon your skin so light.

    Are sweet, gentle kisses,

    That’ll keep you safe tonight.

    So feel the air enter,

    As you breathe in so deep.

    Feel it gather up the day,

    So you can ease into sleep.

    Then feel your breath let go,

    Of anything heavy at all,

    As you exhale completely,

    And surrender to the night’s call.

    The softness of your sheets,

    Will guide you through the night.

    You’re safe and deeply loved,

    So slow down now,

    And honor this season of pain.

    There’s something to learn,

    Deep wisdom to gain. 

    You’re burnt out because,

    You tried to hold it all,

    You did everything that was asked.

    You’re fried because you let,

    Others’ goals become yours. 

    You listened to the voice,

    That said you’d endure.

    Close your eyes,
    And allow your body to melt. 
    Breathe…
    And bring your attention
    To the rhythm of your breath. 

    PAUSE

    In,
    And out.
    Flowing fluidly through you like a river.

    In,
    And out. 

    Breathing just a little deeper with every inhale,
    And breathing out just a little longer with every exhale. 

    PAUSE

    Stay here with your breath,
    Your portal to the present.
    Feel everything else fade into the background,
    As you become one with your breath.

    If your future feels uncertain,
    If you feel uprooted. 
    If you keep playing scenes,
    Of what could possibly occur.

    You mix in all the emotions,
    With logistics that could happen.
    And pretty soon, you’re heavy,
    With visions that are a blur.

    Feel all the emotions,
    Of worrying about the future.
    But know that you,
    Don’t have to hold them. 

    PAUSE

    They can all float away,
    On the currents of your breath,
    Losing their power,
    To stress and overwhelm. 

    PAUSE

    So let them all go,
    The worries of the future,
    As your attention,
    Comes deep inside. 

    PAUSE

    Remind yourself you’re here,
    Planted in this moment,
    Nothing exists beyond this yet,
    On the other side.

    So find your breath again,
    And this time find roots,
    And dig deep,
    Into the now.

    Vibrate with love,
    The core of who you are,

    We need to express ourselves. 
    PAUSE…
    It's vital for each of us
    to be able to live our lives authentically,
    unconstrained by what others expect of us,
    what they think of us,
    or out of fear of judgment.
    PAUSE…
    So let’s begin today by focusing on our breath
    Breathing in for 4 counts,
    and breathing out for 4 counts. 
    Breathe in,
    two, three, four.
    And breathe out,
    two, three, four.
    PAUSE…
    Breathe in again,
    two, three, four
    And breathe out again,
    two, three, four.
    PAUSE…
    Tune into this rhythm of breath.
    Enjoy the pauses between each inhalation and exhalation.
    Don't try to force it
    or control it.
    Just follow it and observe it.

    Every cell is filling up with fresh life through your breath.

    Your heart,
    your mind,
    your arms and legs,
    your voice,
    your eyes.

    You are animated through life force energy.

    That suddenly splits in two. 

    So much arises inside.

    What if’s and maybe’s,

    Worries and excitement,

    My fear I cannot hide.

    My hand comes to heart, 

    My eyes softly close,

    My breathing becomes slow. 

    I take a step forward,

    And then another until,

    I’ve set a course and I go.

    The path that I’ve chosen,

    Isn’t without its pain,

    The bumps have made bruises and scars.

    I find myself wondering, 

    If I went the wrong way,

    If the other would have taken me far. 

    PAUSE…

    I look towards the dreams, 

    That I thought would exist,

    At the end of this road that I chose.

    I race fast ahead,

    Forgetting the point, 

    To feel the path under my toes. 

    PAUSE…

    Stop your striving,

    Slow your pace,

    Enjoy the path that you’re on.

    Take your focus,

    Off of the goal,

    And be here before it’s all gone. 

    LONG PAUSE…

    Right here and right now,

    In this sacred space,

    I’m exactly where I’m meant to be. 

    No matter which path,

    No matter the dream, 

    In this moment, I am free. 

    PAUSE…

    With fresh eyes I see,

    All I’ve endured,

    Has shaped who I am right now. 

    And all of those worries,

    That I’m not far enough,

    Start to dissolve somehow.
