Quinnell, the film follows John Creasy (Denzel Washington), a despondent, alcoholic former CIA SAD/SOG officer (and U.S. Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance captain) turned bodyguard, who goes on a revenge rampage after his charge, nine-year-old Lupita “Pita” Ramos (Dakota Fanning), is abducted in Mexico City. The film also stars Christopher Walken, Radha Mitchell, Giancarlo Giannini, Marc Anthony, Rachel Ticotin, and Mickey Rourke.

Centered around intertwining plots involving three sets of characters, the film is set around Christmas and follows a woman who purchases ecstasy pills, covertly disposes of them, and then sells fake pills at a rave only to be later confronted by an armed drug dealer who sets in motion the other stories that are all linked by this truly whacky event.
