As we celebrate the incarnation of our Savior Jesus, we think about all that this means for us. God, the everlasting, almighty God, who fills the heavens and the earth, becomes flesh and blood just like us. He joins us in this world of darkness as a man—God himself, with us. Today we focus on the name "Immanuel," which means "God with us." This Christmas, we consider what that means for us today and for all eternity—that God is truly with us as his people.
