The EmmanuelThomas Podcast is a platform out of Richmond, Virginia that discusses society and culture through the lens of faith and mental health. This podcast is hosted Wayne "Emmanuel" Credle, an Ordained Minister and Jacob "Thomas" Settle, a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Jacob holds a Masters of Counseling from Regent University, in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Wayne holds a Masters of Divinity from Duke Divinity School, in Durham, North Carolina. Both met and completed their undergraduate degrees at Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Episode 6: Cuties, Culture, and Conversation
Using the controversial Netflix film, "Cuties" as a backdrop, Jake and Wayne discuss the "in your face" culture that currently permeates our society. Is our story for everyone? Should there be a limit to the things we share or should we just let it all hang out? Jake and Wayne engage this conversation from a Mental Health and Pastoral perspective. Wayne also surprises Jake with quite a story.

Episode 5-George Floyd: Rage, Uprising, and Response
This episode focuses on the outcry of African-Americans in the wake of George Floyd's death in Minneapolis. Wayne parses out the connotations of "rioting" verses "uprising" and speaks to looting as a result of protest. Jake offers ways that white people can step into the responsibility of engaging other white people around the realities of racial injustice and discrimination. Jake also discusses the idolization of white allyship versus the power of authentic presence around racial issues. Lastly, this episode places in tension the irony of Pentecost coinciding with Floyd's assassination and the cost associated with truly being a Christian witness.
