Welcome to Faithful like Children, a podcast for Catholics of all ages. Here at FLC, our mission is to share the message of living the Christian life in a childlike posture and childlike faith. As beloved sons and daughters of the Father, it is an important part of the faith to live in such a way. After all, Saint John Paul II once said, "He has called you and chosen you to live in the freedom of the children of God." We all strive to become saints at some point. Why not start today?

Two Lungs, One Church w/ Chris Karroum

Two Lungs, One Church w/ Chris Karroum

There are two sides, or lungs, rather, to the Catholic Church- the East and the West. However, many people can have so many questions about this topic. What is the Eastern Church? What are the mysteries and prayers and beliefs like? How are they similar and different to each other? Why do negative assumptions of the two sides exist? Today, Celie and Chris dive into the beauty, history, traditions, and theology of the Eastern Catholic Church, more specifically the Byzantine rite. In addition they talk about their experiences with each other's rite in order to further demonstrate that the Church, as St. John Paul II states, "breathes through two lungs".

Little Life Lessons: Less like Pride, More Like Peter

Little Life Lessons: Less like Pride, More Like Peter

With Holy Week fast approaching, it can be difficult to understand how to enter more deeply into the Lord's Passion. Two of the disciples, Peter and Judas, were both of Christ's followers and taught His teachings. Unfortunately, they both denied and betrayed Him. Today, Celie goes over the Passion parts of Mark's gospel and the visit to the apostles after the Resurrection in John's gospel to understand what made the outcomes of these two individuals. In the end, she discovers and teaches us that Peter showed humility in coming back to God by saying, "I love you", unlike Judas who looked toward himself and how he showed pride. She gives this so this Holy Week as we get closer and closer to Easter, we can all recognize the humility that we as children of the Father should portray, and that we all need to show a little less pride, and be a little more like Peter.
