Welcome to Part 2 of our podcast, “The Evolution of CC: A candid conversation with Darko and Vic”. This episode will lead off with Darko having just talked about the huge transition in his trading life, going from a losing trader for many years, to finally achieving consistent success and…becoming the lead coach for our training service. And I had just asked him how he handles losses now vs in his prior years.

In 2006, I launched the Coaches Corner, which is our Forex training service at Forexmentor. While our basic trading approach has never changed, there have been changes in how we deliver our training. Specifically, a significant shift happened on November 1, 2017, when Darko Ali became our lead coach, taking our service to a whole new level.

In this special podcast episode, Darko and I revisit those formative years and recount how his involvement fortified the future of CC. This podcast is a follow-up from the previous episode, where Darko talked about what happiness means to him, and the meaning of life. However, this episode takes it a big step further and gets very, very personal.

2023 was a year that Darko had to endure several devastating tragedies, and it was a test of his internal fortitude and his ability to overcome set-backs and loss. And of course, difficult times affect everything else in your life. They cause you to reflect, and they force you to either re-group and carry on, or to give up succumb to grief, heartache, and sadness. Well, if you know Darko at all, the last thing he is, is a quitter.

Although Darko Ali is the lead coach for our Coach’s Corner forex training services, this podcast is not about trading, but about Darko’s personal story of touching a low point in his life…and overcoming it.

2023 was one of the most challenging years that Darko has had to face in his entire life. It forced him to completely re-think what he was doing and why, and to dig into the mentality soul-searching required to recover and move on from some devastating set-backs.

It brought into question the whole concept of the reality of happiness and what it means, and some deep thinking on the meaning of life.
