On this weeks episode I chat with my loooooovely friend Niamh O'Reilly who is a single mom to her beautiful daughter Eabha. Gorgeous Eabha was born with a special disability called AMC which meant she was born with no toes and very weak facial and arm muscles but really that just means she is cooler than most people 💕I decided to divide this episode into two parts because there was SO much to cover from finding out she was pregnant 3 weeks after moving to Portugal DURING covid, finding out something was wrong but not knowing what exactly it was for so long even after the birth, sharing a child with someone she has known since they were 15, managing co-parenting and doing such a good job at it and, coming to the sad realisation that nobody is going to fight or care for your child like you do.Aside from all that Niamh is GAS and is focusing on raising her tiny best friend, Eabha, and also being a screenwriter. No better person to have been dealt a shitty hand as she always see the positives in everything and is an inspiration to anyone going through a similar situation.

This week Aislinn chats with John Fitz who is one of three owners behind The Lab Method gym based in Athea. The Lab is not just a gym it’s a community and the lads have found a niche in the market in everything that they do and you can see that so evidently through their socials.

John originally failed his leaving cert but always had this passion for fitness and worked so hard go get to where he is. This didn’t come without many struggles as we get deep into the mental battles, missing out on his daughter's first steps, barely seeing his partner, Aoife, and the many challenges and lows that came with getting those highs.

Perfect timing to release this one as the leaving cert starts today so, if you know anyone who is stressing before their exams, tell them to listen to this episode.
