The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor within New York City, in the United States. The copper statue was a gift from the people of France to the people of the United States, designed by French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886. But prior to that, it faced several issues that threatened it's existence as a whole. This episode sheds light on the actual events that took place before the statue's official inauguration.
