    Panoramic Ireland Returns for 2021

Panoramic Ireland's podcast returns for 2021.

With Ireland beginning to exit lockdown from COVID-19 / Coronavirus it's a good time to restart, especially given the acquisition of a new microphone.

Check out panoramicireland.com/blog for some of the places that we have covered over the last few months and see what we might cover here on the podcast.

Send me a message if there is a place or subject matter you would like to see covered.

June 2020 Update from Panoramic Ireland

June 2020 Update from Panoramic Ireland

Hello and welcome back, I've been working on a lot of projects over the past few months in lockdown so expect more posts to come as I get back out exploring Ireland 🇮🇪 again.

In the meantime here is the link to that 360-degree panorama or photosphere that I was talking about of the famous Long Room Library at Trinity College, Dublin 🔗 https://panoramicireland.com/guide-to-ireland/360-degree-panoramas-of-ireland/trinity-college-360-degree-panorama

I will do a full post about the library soon, covering some of its history and interesting aspects but in the meantime have a look at that panorama to see what it looks like.

    Stop by and say hello.

Welcome to Saint Patrick's Day from Ireland 🇮🇪 2020

Welcome to Saint Patrick's Day from Ireland 🇮🇪 2020

It's an unusual Saint Patrick's Day with all events cancelled and pubs closed but there's still the sound of birds chirping and bells ringing. I look at Google's doodle for Saint Patrick's Day with an image of the famous Cliffs of Moher.

Here is the link I mentioned in the podcast: https://panoramicireland.com/blog-ireland-guide/google-doodle-saint-patricks-day-2020-17-march-cliffs-moher

Standing in a stream to photograph on a sunny day in Ireland

Standing in a stream to photograph on a sunny day in Ireland

Just a quick episode this afternoon from a small river in the woodlands of the Irish countryside.

I was reminded of this quote when standing in the river:

“The sound of water says what I think.”
    ― Chuang Tzu

It was a nice day, showers of rain with lots of bright sunshine so I went into the woods to photograph a fine looking river, updated the episode cover with this actual river.

Image and blog post to come but in the meantime have a look at https://panoramicireland.com/blog for more.

Send me an email or a message on the podcast if you want me to feature something specific or are interested in a particular place in Ireland.

The Irish flag, first flown in Waterford by Thomas Francis Meagher in 1848.

The Irish flag is comprised of three colours green, white and orange and it was created by Thomas Francis Meagher and first flown in 1848 in Ireland's oldest city, Waterford. Image of the week from panoramicireland.com - each week a new Irish image

Image of the week from panoramicireland.com - each week a new Irish image

A quick chat about the new image of the week section on the homepage at panoramicireland.com (and also the panoramicireland.com/dublin page). This week is an astrophotography image from the west of Ireland, County Galway with a full moon, stars, night clouds and urban light pollution. Not ideal for night time photography but still a pleasing image from the end of a photography workshop. Stop by and say hello here or at the website, social media etc. Most of the links are here.
