Hyzer day going? We are back with an episode after we attended the green river festival this past weekend. Super dope show with a lot of great roots performances. We wanted to talk a little about the cool bands we saw, the music we loved, roots music in general, park music festivals and festival gone wrong (uh oh)

Whoa,

Matt is tall again and we are back for another episode. This time we put on our serious hats to talk about the devastating floods occurring in Yellowstone and the surrounding communities.

Right now, thousands of people are displaced (some examples here and here) and fighting to rebuild their communities after Yellowstone's "1 in 500" year flood tore up the park we love so much. Park workers are struggling to find housing, business owners are trying to keep their doors open, and some people are watching their houses get swept away and posting it to Tik Tok.

The evacuation has been grueling and we have seen some good signs in the past couple days but there is a lot left to be done. Gateway towns may be on their own for 2+ years while roads and bridges are repaired and areas are cleared.

We order a pizza at the end of the episode from the Parlor at Mack's Inn. They are donating half of their revenue over the next few days to the Chamber of Commerce to assist these towns. Do what you can to help.

Wats poppin kiddo. We are about to talk about the leanest, meanest bear in the whole forest. The GOAT at keeping idiots from setting wildfires. Smokey the GD bear my guy. We talk a little about how he came to be one of the most recognizable public figures in conservation and how a little cub from Capitan, New Mexico was Jet setting and being paired up with groupies.

We also talk about how to properly start a fire in the woods to make sure it is safe and ok with Smokey the GOAT. How far to make the pit down. What to use. How to put it out. and way more.

And finally we discuss some historical bozos that lit forest fires that destroyed millions of dollars in forest and property because they just had to smoke on the side of the road or needed those facebook likes.
