This is my new series in which I read a hindi epic Rashmirathi which was written by The NATIONAL POET Ramdhari Singh Dinkar in 1952. Rashmirathi (Rashmi: Light (rays) Rathi: One who is riding a chariot (not the charioteer)) The work is centered around the life of Karna, who was son of unmarried queen Kunti (Pandava's mother) in the epic- Mahabharata. It is one of the most appreciated works of Dinkar apart from "Kurukshetra" and one of the classics of modern Hindi literature. Mauritian cultural activist Leela Gujadhur Sarup has translated Rashmirathi into English. This is the Pratham sarg of Rashmirathi. Pratham sarg is based on the episode when karn first time came in front of Kunti or Pandavas . How karn and duryodhana became friends? How karn become King of angdesh ? ....
