Mamaroneck Public Radio
Podcasts Channel
Mamaroneck Public Radio was founded in June 2021 by a group of students at Mamaroneck High School located in Mamaroneck, NY. Although independently created, it is an offshoot of the school's Journalism program, which was launched in 2013 by teacher Evan Madin. The radio makes use of the school's podcasting studio, which second-semester Journalism students use to produce podcasts.
The radio's aim is to create a student-run source of news and entertainment for the MHS student body and the larger Mamaroneck community. Students manage all content broadcasted on the radio including music, shows, and smaller advertisements/inserts.
MPR was made possible by a grant from the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation and took inspiration from Sleepy Hollow Radio.
