The Gettel Family Foundation is investing $1 million over three years to support The Haven’s new Community & Career Center, a project designed to expand opportunities, workforce training, and support services for individuals with physical and mental disabilities in Southwest Florida.

• The $1 million commitment will help fund The Haven’s new Community & Career Center on its Sarasota campus.

• The facility will include a theater, gymnasium, multipurpose spaces, and specialized workforce development and life-skills training labs.

• The center will also serve as a dedicated hurricane shelter, allowing residents and participants to remain in a familiar, supportive environment during emergencies.

• The project aims to create more opportunities for career exploration, independence, and community engagement for those served by The Haven.
