In our 3 year anniversary special I have the pleasure of sitting down with one of the brightest and best wrestlers in the world right now! Former AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion, 'FIREBALL' Francesco Akira.
We discuss Francesco's current injury status and how he is rehabbing his knee for a quick return to action.
Francesco speaks to us about the awesome 2021 he's had so far. Including working for wXw in Germany, plus matches against Robbie X and Ian Skinner in the UK. Including his emotional return to Italian Championship Wrestling to main event their 'Fireball Forever!' show.
We talk about Francesco's start as a Pro Wrestler at the age of only 15 years old and learning the business as a tag team wrestler, before achieving singles success in Italy at the age of only 17 years of age.
We discuss moving to Japan and commencing his training at the All Japan Dojo, under the mentorship of WWE legend Tajiri.
Francesco discusses his time in All Japan Pro Wrestling and some of his favourite moments, culminating in winning the Junior Battle of Glory tournament in June 2021, before going onto becoming the first ever European to win the AJPW World junior Heavyweight Champion.
