In the first of this two-parter, we discuss Marty's training school 'Squared Circle Pro Wrestling Training Academy' and the many top star that have passed through their doors. Including, WWE stars Sam Gradwell, Saxton Huxley and Ridge Holland. Plus, so many amazing UK names doing great things on the UK scene today!
Marty also discusses being a huge influence to William Regal, and how he took Regal under his wing at the age of 17, before turning him into the pro and world-wide star he later become.
We talk about Marty's love for the sport, starting at only 6 years of age, before he started training with the legendary, Billy Robinson.
Marty discusses his time in Mexico, touring Japan with the likes of Andre The Giant and Antonio Inoki and his time in Canada, wrestling for Stampede with members of the Hart family and a young Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid, amongst others. (Duration 43 minutes)
This was a truly eye opening experience talking with Marty in the first-ever 'Legends Masterclass Series' and it was only part one of two.
