    Our first live show from The Kenilworth Arts Festival 2021. Sarah and Ian were joined by the Writer, Director and cast of The Petticoat Council. The play Petticoat Council tells the true story of the first female majority council. In this episode we talk to the writer about her decision to tell this familial story, how the telling of the story has impacted on the village where it took place, and how the story could be used to empower audiences. You also get to hear a live performance from the play.     011: Positive Change through Children's Stories and Picture Books

    Sarah chats to Samuel Langley-Swain about his work as an author and publisher of inclusive books for children and their adults. Founder of Owlet Press, Sam's world changed in 2014 when he became a Dad. Having never thought of writing books, he was dramatically inspired by his children and the new universe he’d entered into. His book What Wesley Wore has now been translated all over the world. "I self-published my first book in September 2017 and sold over 7,000 copies in the first 12 weeks. As I toured the book it became important to me to be able to create positive change for children through stories, working with new authors who have the same beliefs as I do."
