010 | Baby Booty: Supporting Parents Through Movement and Community ft. Molly Brubaker & Alexa Sing
Baby Booty is a 30 minute baby-wearing (or pregnancy) workout followed by 30 minutes of social time for parents and babies! The exercises done in class are based on movements of every day life as a new parent; squatting, hingeing, lifting, and bending. The workout includes squats, lunges, arm exercises, standing ab exercises, and movements utilizing the barre (or a chair if at home). Baby Booty is for all parents in their prenatal and postpartum journey as all the exercises can be modified for your body and fitness level.
Baby Booty has become so much more than a workout…you are invited to join the community in Portland & Biddeford, ME, or Brookline & Needham, MA. There is also the ability to livestream studio classes from anywhere via zoom and there is a library of on-demand recorded classes on the website.
Founders, Molly Brubaker and her daughter Ella, created Baby Booty™ as a fun way to workout without needing childcare and hoped it would bring other parents along so they could make some new friends! Her hope is that Baby Booty workouts prepare you for the physical demands and experience of parenthood while also fostering a supportive community for you and your baby. Molly is a certified Group Fitness Instructor, Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Exercise Specialist, and Certified Barre Instructor. She has taken courses for Pre/Post Natal Exercise through ProNatal Fitness. Ella is your certified hype squad keeping everyone energized in class!
For Alexa Sing, Baby Booty has been instrumental in her recovery from postpartum depression. It's encouraged her to reconnect with her body, bond with her 8-month-old daughter, and make friendships with other moms. It's made such a difference in her life, which is why she now teaches classes and hopes to continue to create that support system for others. Alexa is certified as a group fitness instructor and is continuing her education and certifications in pre/postnatal fitness.
