016: How To Avoid Burnout - 5 TIPS to Release The Inner Bully Power of the Pivot Podcast

    • Marketing

Most people today work 24/7. And if you are not working 70+ a week, it probably feels like it does. And because of that, burnout is inevitable.

In addition to that, most of the people I know and work with are flying solo. No team, no collaboration, no one to bounce ideas off of.

And because of that burnout is a real problem because instead of recognizing it as exhaustion, instead, it’s easy to look at it as a failure.

When you get to that point, it’s important to step back, take a brief pause, and become the observer. It’s in those moments that you can take the time to redirect and prioritize what is important. And what’s important is balance.

That is the key to avoiding burnout.

In this episode, I am going to share 5 key tips that will help you stay on track, reach those milestones and goals, and hopefully eliminate the negative self-talk trap. Plus, why becoming part of a community of like-minded humans is the most important thing you can do for your mind and your spirit.

Show Highlights:

[2:04] The truth is no one’s actually failing. But the feeling of failure vibrates so loud because when you’re passionate about what you’re creating and who you’re serving, getting into what you think might be the end goal feels incredibly daunting.

[2:23] There is no one end goal. Unfortunately or fortunately, you’re never done.

[4:36] Part of getting to where you want to go is tackling that to-do list, one bite at a time. Be super strategic about it and shifting your narrative little by little.

[8:13] Hard nos come when you are aligned with what you are willing to accept and not accept.

[13:01] Even though we are not physically sitting in the same room, we are still invisible in the zoom screen and because of that, we are feeling a bit less lonely.
