031 - You Can't Shock Me Anymore: Morgan and Sarah, Forensic Nurses Hey Chaplain

    • Society & Culture

Today we're talking to a pair of forensic nurses.  Their names are Morgan and Sarah and they are the Forensic Nurses in a two different hospitals in the Midwest.  A forensic nurse has special training to examine victims of sexual assault and other violent crimes.  It takes a tremendous amount of professional skill, empathy, and personal resiliency to do this day after day and also, apparently, a wonderfully dark sense of humor.
Make sure you catch how these nurses approach the victims of violent crime, the type of victim they find the most difficult to face, and their relationship to local law enforcement, including a couple of really funny cop stories that you won't want to miss.
Please be warned: this episode contains limited, clinical discussion of sexual assault and human anatomy.  Listener discretion is advised.
