Quotes from this episode:
If you have goals and they’re important to you, even if you have trauma symptoms, limiting beliefs or mindset issues, it is possible to make life work for you if you stop trying to put yourself in a box that you don’t fit in. One of the biggest signs someone may need support is shame. It can be easily inherited from trauma, directly enforced on you from a system or system. It’s a tactic to keep people under control. It also can be used as a coping mechanism to explain a situation that you don’t feel you can escape. Your body’s goal is to stay alive and so it will protect and defend itself. Your body is responding properly to trauma that hasn’t been dealt with. It’s never too late to deal with it.
