Unleashing Your Superpower: The Brave Approach to Getting Things Done - Live Presentation Special
We’re excited to share the highlights from our recent podcast LIVE event we did in collaboration with Babes Support Babes, an organization in San Antonio that brings women entrepreneurs together to share ideas, collaborate, and support one another. We were invited to be speakers at their live event, and we're excited to share our experience with you.
The theme of the night was all about a fall reset, nurturing self-belief, and embarking on a journey to finish 2023 with amazing strength while getting things done.  We delved into the different approaches people take to getting things done based on their personalities and giftings.
During the event, the audience members completed a questionnaire that helps determine how we approach projects and goals based on our personality types. We divided people into two categories: idea igniters and detailed doers. In case you don’t already know, Melissa is an idea igniter, while Julie is our steady, detail-oriented detailed doer.
We want you to take the questionnaire for yourself. Here’s the LINK!
The key takeaway is that neither type is better or worse; they are superpowers in their own right. We need to recognize and leverage our strengths and acknowledge our weaknesses. Melissa is usually bursting with ideas but may struggle with implementation, while Julie excels at turning those ideas into actionable plans.
So, let's discuss how to make the most of our strengths based on our types.
For the Detailed Doers - Tips To Rise Above the Details:
Implement Innovation Hours: Schedule time in your weekly routine to explore new trends or strategies, even if it's outside your comfort zone. This allows you to think creatively about your business or projects.
Take Small, Calculated Risks: Allocate a portion of your resources, whether it's time or money, to try new projects or learn new skills. This helps you avoid getting stuck in a rut and keeps your business evolving.
Broaden Your Scope: While diving deep is a strength, periodically step back and reevaluate your priorities. Make sure you're still on the right path and that your efforts align with your current goals.
For the Idea Igniters - Tips to Make the Dream a Reality:
Focus on the Brilliant Few: Prioritize your ideas by focusing on the most realistic and achievable ones. Don't get overwhelmed by the sheer number of ideas.
Map Out Your Dream: Break down your big ideas into small, manageable tasks, and challenge yourself to be a list maker and, more importantly, a list follower.
GSD - Get Stuff Done: Your enthusiasm is a double-edged sword; it can ignite or consume you.  Manage your creative flow by setting up “idea sprints” and then allocating specific times in your day when you do nothing but the things on your to-do list.
Remember, whether you're an idea igniter or a detailed doer, your superpower is unique and valuable. Find ways to work with others who complement your strengths, seek an accountability partner, and keep moving forward confidently. Don't let self-doubt hold you back because BRAVE looks good on you!
And one more thing, we're introducing something new – sharing our current favorites each week, from fashion to lifestyle. So, in this episode, we shared what we wore to the event.
