The song was featured in the 2013 film, "I Drink", a film that shares life-changing and life-saving stories about alcoholism, made entirely by two recovering alcoholics, Peter M McAuley and Jim Shedden. In this episode, Jim shares a clip from the movie where the song appears. Also in this episode, our special guest, Kieran Grant, shares Barstool Blues by Neil Young. The song was first released on the album, Zuma, in November 1975, by Neil Young and Crazy Horse. The version we play here was remastered in 2016. Our closing song for this episode is “He Brings out the Whiskey in Me”, composed and performed by another Canadian artist, Amy Millan. It was released in 2006 on the album, “Honey from the Tombs”. Other songs discussed include a version of Barstool Blues by the German artist, Tom Diabo.
