The Emperor's New Clothes: The ruler of a kingdom is duped by a pair of conmen pretending to be weavers who convince the emperor that only the ignorant, or those unfit for their jobs, fail to see the fine clothes they will make for the king. The word gets around and when the king dons the clothes, he and everyone else can see that he is standing in his underwear, but no one has the moral courage to tell the king that he is standing with very little on. All are afraid they will be thought ignorant or unfit to hold their jobs.

What a pleasure to listen to your stories! You choose stories with such beautiful writing, and your voicing brings out the best in these wonderful tales. It’s clear you have great respect for the authors, and do your very best to make their work every bit as compelling as it is in print. I especially like the stories set in France, and you do a nice job with French words and terms. With all the pressures of daily life, it’s great to lose myself in one of your stories and blot out the whole outside world while I wait to find out what happens! Five stars, for sure.
Baseball stories of old
The stories by Zane Gray are truly inspiring and amazing Brings back great memories of childhood And hopefully it will be heard again by some child who will be inspired to tryout for a local school or community team To bad baseball isn't as popular as it was It helps teach children math and other skills More than one mathematical or physics scientist was inspired to learn baseball statistics And to read the local sports news to keep up with their college and major leagues teams

Jon - I just finished listening to the first installment of the Betrayal of Merlin - great topic and expertly read! I felt like I was back in my early grade school days with my favorite teacher reading a fascinating book to the class! Looking forward to the next installment as promised!
