#11 Nav Sawhney - Engineering an accessible, off-grid washing solution for displaced and low-income communities

Nav is the founder of The Washing Machine Project (TWMP), a grassroots social enterprise dedicated to alleviating the burden of handwashing clothes and the often unconsidered consequences this unpaid labour has on people’s lives. Using their engineering and product design expertise, TWMP seek to provide a single, standalone, off-the-grid washing solution that is affordable, portable, and accessible to everyone.
