112. When You Feel Left Behind Help! I'm Raising Fatherless Kids

    • Parenting

We all face seasons in life, especially single moms when we feel “passed by” or even “kicked to the curb!” It seems that your best life is behind you while others live out your greatest dreams.

Even Jesus’ disciples experienced this when in a great storm, “He saw that they were in serious trouble, rowing hard and struggling against the wind and waves. About three o’clock in the morning Jesus came toward them, walking on the water. He intended to go past them” (Mark 6:48 NLT).

It is important to understand that God has not and will not pass you by.

Lori talks about the following in this episode:

The gift of God’s grace

Understanding Jesus’ intent in passing by the disciples (Mark 6)

Obstacles to overcome during life’s storms

Scriptures to hold onto when in the storms of life:

The LORD will accomplish that which concerns me; Your [unwavering] lovingkindness, O LORD, endures forever” (Psalm 138:8 AMPC).

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13 ESV).

“Your eyes have seen my formless substance; And in Your book were written All the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. How precious are your thoughts to me Oh God, how vast is the sum of them?” (Psalm 139:16 NASB).

“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. “Behold, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me” (Isaiah 49:15-16 NASB).

“I meditate on You in the night watches for You have been my help and in the shadow of Your wings I sing for joy. My soul clings to You. Your right hand upholds me” (Psalm 63:6-7 NASB).

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will never leave or forsake you” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NASB).
