116. [Texas] Carla Walker Bless This Mess: A Southern True Crime Podcast

    • True Crime

In 1974, in the suburbs of Fort Worth, Texas, Carla Walker and her boyfriend were attacked in their car while in the bowling alley parking lot. Carla was dragged from the vehicle while her boyfriend was knocked unconscious. Her body was found just a few days later but it would take over four decades to solve her case using the most advanced DNA techniques (which Stew and I try to explain, very poorly).

Fun Fact: Sit on a sidewalk and you may be fined. According to a law in Galveston, a person is not allowed to sit or stand on a city sidewalk or right-of-way in a way that impedes free and uninterrupted pedestrian traffic. Violations are considered a class C misdemeanor, punishable by up to a $500 fine.
