118. Beating the Battle with Sugar with Dave Glasser Take the Upgrade

Dave Glasser is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, who works with athletes on all levels. Dave is the owner of Fit Life Champions, where he helps busy adults and athletes reach their fitness and nutrition goals through low risk/high reward functional fitness programs.
Dave shares that his journey to delving deeper into nutrition was prompted by the clients he was serving through his personal training business. The majority of his clients also had questions about and were requesting nutritional guidance.  Dave sought out a nutritional certification and during that process, began to evaluate his own diet. In an effort to save money, he began to meal plan and truly look at the nutritional information of the food he was consuming. 
Dave and Julie discuss how important it is to take your health journey one step at a time and to stop and celebrate the small wins.  Each small win adds up to big changes over time.  
Dave and Julie talk about the benefits of cleansing/detoxing. Dave shares that he plans for a 10 day cleanse about every 90 days. He shares how one of the benefits he reaps from cleansing is that his body absorbs the healthy food and nutrients better post cleanse, which gives him more stamina, mental clarity, and just feeling better in general.
