Mr. Brown was truly an American hero, our "Director of Common Sense", and a member of the Greatest Generation. He was a sergeant in WWII, and he was one of the brave souls who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day. Mr. Brown went on as part of the army regiment who liberated France. At the end of the war, he became part of the engineering crew who rebuilt the bridges throughout Germany.


On the 70th anniversary of D-Day (June 6, 2014), he and his wife, Leona, joined Bucks Braun in the studio for a very special broadcast.
