18. Reframe: Symptoms & pain as your body taking care of you Jaclyn Explores Somatics

    • Mental Health

Experiencing physical pain, exhaustion, chronic health conditions or symptom flare ups are no fun. But what if your sensations and symptoms are your body's way of taking care of you? Of sending your signals about what your body needs? In this episode I introduce and explore this simple yet profound idea. This episode explores

The idea of pain, symptoms, and sensations are both messengers and ways our body tries to meet our needs and take care of us
What common symptoms and sensations could mean from a somatic and emotional perspective
Ways to connect with your body and ask your body what it needs

Jaclyn Explores is hosted by Jaclyn Shea (she/her) a somatic coach, embodiment facilitator, science communicator, and health researcher. With a Masters in Public Health, trained in Somatic Stress Release and Mind Body Coaching, and ten+ years of experience facilitating and conducting research Jaclyn is passionate about communicating the latest research into somatic practices that help you release stress, process trauma, and live life on purpose. Jaclyn works one-on-one clients through somatic coaching, facilitates a group program called Body Language Lab, and in person and zoom workshops.
