#184 Epilepsy, a near death experience, living in 39 cities in the US withKaren VanderMarliere-McCracken The Jar

    • Documentary

We meet our next guest Karen in her home in Lawrenceburg. It’s a really fun and interesting conversation. Karen is one of five children and growing up she lived in 39 places across the US. Her father was a nuclear engineer and worked for a company that did a lot of the installations across United States. She was also one of those people who lived locally and really got into the local culture and history, so Karen is part of that. She’s a speaker, a writer, podcaster, and she’s been a children and youth pastor all of this for more than 20 years and we talk about that journey and getting to a place where you need a break or you need a change and trying to figure out what that is gonna look like. We have some fun and interesting conversations, one around ASMR, how her doggy can tell when she’s about to have an epileptic seizure, what’s it like having OCD, and finally her story of almost dying, and her EMT husband jumping to save her. It’s an exciting episode.
