192. Thriving With ADHD: How To Reduce Your Child's Symptoms Naturally - Dana Kay The Joel Evan Show

Excited to have Dana Kay on the show to talk about a really important topic that is effecting a lot of families these days, ADHD. Dana is a Board-Certified Holistic Health and Nutrition Practitioner and the CEO and founder of the ADHD Thrive Institute, and the creator of the ADHD Thrive Method 4 Kids program. She also just published the book THRIVING WITH ADHD: A Guide to Naturally Reducing ADHD Symptoms in Your Child. 

More than 6 million children in the United States have been diagnosed with ADHD with more than 60% of those children solely relying on medication for treatment. Following her son’s diagnosis, Dana did what many parents do: began her son on medication. Unfortunately, while helping her son focus, the medication also led to increased anxiety, weight loss, and sleepless nights. Eventually, the side effects became too big to ignore. Leaning on her training in holistic health and nutrition and all of the research she could find, she and her family changed course to an all-natural approach that has enabled her son to thrive. Dana’s son is now in middle school, he is happy and thriving and has not been on medication for years.
