Solid podcast

I have always appreciated Chuck Todd’s insight on current events and politics. What I most appreciate about Chuck Todd is his lack of animosity. Unlike some television/radio personalities, there are no personal attacks or insults on this podcast or any other Meet the Press broadcasts. Just as I do with Meet the Press on Sunday, I look forward each week to this podcast.

You were worried about it being too long. It was not long enough. Bring back Jonah!

Interview of President

I’m a semi-retired attorney who spends too much of most days watching, analyzing and debating the cable news. Of course, I don’t hear “Fake News”, however, with a couple exceptions, I’m disappointed with those who don’t confront him with the real facts that are readily available. Often, after he speaks there are too few challenges to his rambling diatribe.

Today, Chuck Todd did his job quite well. He came prepared with the chart on unemployment numbers. I had a contract with a state board for 3 years reviewing unemployment appeals cases. When the contract started unemployment was over 10% and when it ended Obama was still President and it was about 5%. You are the only one who has put a chart in his face with the real numbers.

Next, Chuck Todd asked relevant and hard questions that he normally evades but today he answered. The question about the popular vote generated his usual response of illegals voting but called Secretary Clinton a good person.

Last, I felt the question about how he would respond if he loses in 2020. He now is on record with an answer contrary to all expectations.

One future question requires a serious discussion on what he did and said about the Central Park 5.

Well done!!!!!
