Maya Acosta is a co-leader of the Plant-Based DFW PlantPure Communities Pod located in Dallas, TX. This is a support group designed to empower individuals looking to make healthier lifestyle changes. The organization has offered guest lectures, plant-based potlucks, film screenings, and community walks.
Maya completed her certification in Plant-Based Nutrition through eCornell Center for Nutrition Studies in 2018. She also studied Dr. John McDougall’s Dietary Therapy Course and the Blue Zones’ Staying Alive course.
Maya is the producer and host of the Healthy Lifestyle Solutions podcast, a podcast about the power of lifestyle medicine. In her podcast, Maya interviews health experts about the benefits of consuming a plant-forward diet, using exercise as medicine, meditation, and energy work for stress management and for mental health.
