199. Collabor(hate) with Dr. Debra Mashek The Kinetic Man: Christ-Centered | Veteran-Focused | Investor-Minded

    • Self-Improvement

" Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Dr. Debra Mashek, PhD is an experienced business advisor, professor, higher education administrator, and national nonprofit executive. Previously Full Professor of Social Psychology at Harvey Mudd College, she is the author of Collabor(h)ate: How to build incredible collaborative relationships at work (even if you’d rather work alone). Debra Mashek has spent two decades studying how people form relationships with each other, as well as the challenges and rewards of doing so. She applies relationship theory to understand and improve how individuals relate to others and to help people achieve together that which cannot be achieved alone. David and Stu sit down with Deb and discuss her new book, how true collaboration emerges within and between groups, why it breaks down, and what leaders can do to foster it. It’s a great conversation; go listen.
