2.4 — Blockstars The NFT Gaming Podcast

    • Video Games

Blockstars is a music management simulation game where players form bands of musicians called Blockstars who write, record, and release singles, package their greatest hits into albums, go busking and gigging, put in the time and effort to improve their skills, and eventually work towards the goal of earning enough money to start and upgrade their own record label - which in turn unlocks a whole new game loop where players sign up and nurture the next generation of Blockstars talent.

The gameplay is based on the passage of time as it occurs in reality and revolves on the 24-hour clock. The game is balanced and designed to allow competition across a wide range of play styles, allowing both seasoned players and total newcomers to compete for spots on the leaderboards.

In this podcast episode, we interview Niko Vuori, the founder and CEO of Blockstars, about the Blockstars game, his experience in the industry, advice for builders and what the future holds for both gamers and developers in the web3 space. We hope you enjoy the show!
