2 part series – Praying for Your Adult Children with Merry Worrell Raising Sinners

During this 2-part series, Lisa and Chrissie talk with Merry Worrell about praying for adult children. Merry is a wife and mom of 3 grown children. Her background is in Children’s Ministry and Mental Health Counseling. A Bible study leader, Merry also leads and mentors girls and moms through spiritual formation. She is passionate about the Body of Christ knowing the Word, and the Father’s great love.
This conversation was such a blessing to us personally. Merry shared how she feels she really learned to pray after her children were grown. “It’s interesting, we raise our children and pray, but we are in such control we don’t really give much to God. We just worry in His direction. But as our children grow and start living their lives, we realize we never really had control. And certainly don’t. now.”
We talk about walking in the Spirit and growing our faith, instead of being focused on the prayer needs. Just walk. Are we consumed by His presence or their (our) problems?
