Bonus episode 436

Greg’s comment at about 5:10 of bonus episode 436 available to Patreon subscribers about potentially “giving websites away for free” reminds me of my reflections on mid-market ERP implementation projects. In our case, both the customer’s transformation and their maximum potential lifetime value depend on an upgrade to Sage Intacct. I did not expect Joe Pine’s episode to be one to which I’d listen twice, but I think I’m about to queue it up again.

Thank you for the good work,

Brian

Excellent and well thought out content and interviews!

Excellent podcast- knowing Ed personally he is always insightful and found him to be a deep thinker. This seems to be a good pairing and this is definitely worth a listen on the drive home!

Obnoxiously arrogant

I have read a few of Ron Baker’s books over the past 15 years. They started out having great ideas and I’ve implemented some of them. But over the years he’s become arrogant and spends more time bashing other models than providing real-life implementation ideas. I bought his latest book Time’s Up and immediately returned it. It was full of high-level concepts that were meaningless in practice. I discovered this podcast and decided to give it a try. On the one episode I listed to, Ed and Ron spent half the show bashing others and other theories and providing little value. It was like listening to a politician telling us what’s wrong with everyone else but providing no solutions. They were arrogant and obnoxious. I’m not sure how people like these two guys.
