Welcome to the final episode of 22.33. In this special goodbye episode, we shifted our focus to interview Christopher Wurst, 22.33 mastermind and former director of the Collaboratory in ECA. This past summer we got to learn more about Chris, his time in ECA, and his work as a Foreign Service Officer. Thank you to everyone who has been with us on this journey. Fantastic Stories
This is a great podcast and it has saved my mind from very many long drives. I wonder what the people passing me think when I’m laughing in the car alone, or wipe away a heart touching tear as I’m listening. Great job Chris—keep the stories coming.
A stroll down the memory lane
Reverse culture shock is a serious phenomenon for exchange students. I have struggled myself to readjust with my home culture in Bangladesh 🇧🇩 after the YES program. When I learned about 22.33 podcasts, I curiously played the first few episodes of Season 1, I was immediately hooked.
Since then, whenever I get a little depressed and feel alone, 22.33 is my go to station. I listen to the personal stories of other exchange students and that tells me that I’m not alone. I discovered how similar, yet different, exchange experiences can be.
Whenever I’m listening to 22.33, it’s like taking a stroll down my memory lane and recall all the amazing memories I have made during my exchange year. And that makes my day!
Thank you Chris and team for this amazing platform where exchange students can voice their feelings and experiences and not only feel positive about the world around them but also raise awareness about how important exchange is, to achieve cultural harmony and world peace.
Please continue this until that goal is reached.

6/22/19 update. Chris and Co. have knocked it out the park yet again with the “Knitting as coding “ episode. This inspiring piece about Lindwe Matlali reminds me of a couple of quotes (altered for effect) “the heights by great women reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, but they while their companions slept, were toiling upward in the night “ - HW Longfellow...and “to some when less is given, much more can be begotten “. 6/1/19 update. Bravo! The latest episode of Harpeth Rising was both moving and informative. While a regular episode is peppered with eclectic music pieces, Harpeth’s body of work serves as the perfect backdrop to the episode. I found the lyrics as rich as their music. Keep on Truckin’, ECA! I have caught up on 3 episodes thus far. Really enjoyed the Seth Glier episode. His stories of stitching together music from the world was representative of the best of humanity. Wish him luck, and the podcast, too! To channel Perry Mason, this podcast is "competent, relevant and material!" Great production team with the choice of music interludes always hitting the right notes along with fantastic stories from various sojourns abroad.
