#23. Bonnets, beards, horses and buggies. Let’s be honest, for most of us, that’s about all we know of the Amish culture. Even for me personally, growing up in an area that was full of Amish and Mennonite people, I actually knew very little about what things looked like inside of their community.
That was… until an Amish gentleman started working on my dad’s farm. Slowly, but surely our families began to learn more about each other and slowly but surely, our families formed an unbreakable bond.
Today Mary Yoder, the mama of that family is one of my dearest friends. She’s a beautiful soul and when you look in her eyes you can actually see the joy of Jesus shining through. Those shining eyes of hers have been on quite a journey, a life transformation actually and she’s about to share it all with you.
Whether you think you know a lot about the Amish culture or you have no idea what it’s all about but you’re curious to know more, this episode is one that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Prepare to be clinging to every word as Mary shares her story, explaining in detail how she grew up Amish, got married and had six children, then alongside her husband made the decision to leave the Amish community.
