The New Utah Podcast, Episode 244: The Big D. We are joined by the founder of Utah Rail Passengers Association, Mike Chistensen. We discuss mass transit in Salt Lake and the greater part of rural Utah as well. We discuss everything from buses to self driving cars, to light rail and full rail. Mike has some big ideas for Utah, and we all think a train to Vegas would be awesome. It's also the premier of our feature Historically Significant Places in Utah. This month we take a deep dive on the Topaz Mountain, the site of the Topaz War Relocation Center. A Japanese internment camp set up at the start of World War 2, as a result of the Pearl Harbor bombing. It's a bad piece of American History, but it's worth talking about. Follow us @tnupodcast.
