248. Unhurried is the Best Path, Part 2

Today's Heartlift with Janell

"With the overwhelming pace of life, many of us struggle to stop long enough to be present. Our long to-do lists and full calendars leave little breathing room to hear from God. We know we need to slow down but we don't even know how to begin."

Today's guest, Alan Fadling, has spent years coaching leaders and communities on how to live an unhurried life, teaching that productivity and success are not our chief end, but rather living at the pace that our true self longs to live. In this episode, Alan shares how we can train to be unhurried and when we do, we begin to see what matters to God. Alan asks an important question, "To what degree am I letting my life be shaped by the values of Jesus and to what degree am I letting it be shaped by the culture around me?"

Alan Fadling is president and founder of Unhurried Living, Inc. in Mission Viejo, California. He speaks and consults internationally. He is an award-winning
author of An Unhurried Leader and An Unhurried Life, which was honored with a Christianity Today Award of Merit in spirituality. He is also coauthor (with Gem Fadling) of What Does Your Soul Love?
