The best Vampire the Masquerade podcast in the world

The 25 years of Vampire the Masquerade podcast is an excellent podcast for fans of the tabletop RPG. The hosts Bob and Nate definitely know what they are talking about and provide excellent advice on how to best run this game. Their book reviews are spot on, and their love of the material is evident. I recommend this podcast to anyone who plays this game. The only downside is the community that comes with becoming a patreon and playing in the ongoing online game Curse of Caine. Just like any online community, there are bad apples that make the experience painful. Don't get me wrong, Bob is a world-class storyteller, and you will learn much from the experience of playing with him, but it's not worth dealing with some members of the community. My recommendation is to listen to this podcast, become a patreon for the exclusive material that will truly help you improve your skills as a storyteller, but stay away from the Curse of Caine because there are those that feel it belongs to them and new people aren't welcome.

Quality Production for VtM Enthusiasts Worldwide

The illustrious Utility Muffin Labs have established themselves as one of the world’s foremost authorities when it comes to Vampire: The Masquerade. Their podcast, appropriately called 25 Years of Vampire: The Masquerade, is considered the #1 podcast for World of Darkness vampire enthusiasts.

Positives:
The audio quality of the podcast is clear and the voices are distinct.

They are polite, respectful, articulate and expressive in their dialogue. A combination of humor, education and professional opinion is used to most efficiently communicate their thoughts to the listeners. Bickering, rude interruptions and emotional outbursts have never occurred.

They are both very passionate and knowledgeable about the topic at hand. Not only do they read the books they review cover to cover prior to the broadcast, but they have decades of experience in playing, storytelling & LARPing Vampire: The Masquerade games.

They pull no punches when it comes to declaring that a particular book or a chapter within may have missed the mark. They give consistently honest feedback and even provide constructive criticism when the need arises.

The actual introduction to 25 Years of Vampire the Masquerade is very well done and has a way of setting the stage perfectly for the vampiric content to come. The few advertisements they've placed in the beginning of an episode, just prior to the intro, are done in such a way that I've never felt compelled to skip ahead. Both the music and dialogue have a dark, yet energizing, feel and fits right into the theme of the podcast.

Negatives:
Occasionally, there have been very minor technical difficulties with the audible aspect of the podcast. These have decreased in time and rarely has this detracted from the actual content delivered. Perfection isn't a human trait, after all, so this is acceptable.

Conclusion:
If you’ve had an interest in a particular Vampire: the Masquerade book or felt the need to enhance your knowledge concerning vampires from the World of Darkness game setting, this is THE podcast to embrace. Do it now!

Great Podcast for Those New to World of Darkness!

Bob and Nate are highly knowledgable about Vampire the Masquerade and have been playing it for many years....this retrospective is incredibly helpful to this first time Storyteller and player in Vampire and really helped me narrow down which books were 100% necessary to really get into the setting, game, and mechanics. Also, these guys have a great radio chemistry together, they have been roommates and friends for many years and it shows. Great production quality and they are also very honest when they don't like things White Wolf has done, which makes me trust their opinion even more. Look foreward to exploring Dark Ages Vampire with them as they start the next chapter in their retrospective.
