On this episode of The Health Detective Podcast, we're talking to Jake Kocherhans, who went from chronic bloating to gut health guru!

Jake is the founder of Atlas Functional Wellness, a virtual health clinic focusing on chronic bloating and other gut-related issues. Jake's journey into the health and wellness space escalated when his girlfriend, Callie, experienced severe health problems after moving to Austin, Texas. From brain fog and fatigue to severe anxiety and digestive issues, Callie's health significantly deteriorated, sparking Jake's interest in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN).

Through FDN, Jake and Callie discovered the root cause of her health problems was mold exposure in their home, along with high levels of Candida. This discovery led Jake to pursue FDN certification and run the necessary tests to diagnose and treat Callie's condition, which ultimately led to her recovery. The podcast also delves into Jake's transition from focusing on weight loss to specializing in gut health, driven by his personal experiences and a passion for helping others with similar issues. The discussion includes the impact of gut health on overall wellness, including weight management, and details about specific protocols used to address gut health issues like SIBO, candida, and mold exposure.Where to find Jake:
