Born to parents from New York City, JaMarr's life took a tragic turn when his father, in a case of mistaken identity, was shot and killed. However, the impact of his tumultuous early years had a profound effect on JaMarr. From a young age, he possessed a keen awareness of his surroundings, becoming hyper-vigilant and questioning the intricacies of life, God, religion, and spirituality.

JaMarr faced difficulties in school as well. Once his mother managed to rebuild their lives, they settled in Spanish East Harlem, where JaMarr's mastery of the English language made him stand out, drawing both admiration and ridicule. This intervention opened doors for JaMarr, propelling him forward. It culminated in a remarkable 14-year career in the Marines, where he rose to the rank of naval officer before retiring in 2012.
