Russell Wilson leads the Seahawks through Wild Card weekend Sea Hawkers Podcast: for Seattle Seahawks fans

    • Football

The Seahawks advance into the Divisional Round of the NFC playoffs after their 17-9 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Instead of boosting their takeaway numbers, this time around they boost their sack numbers. While the numbers may say that Russell Wilson stayed clean in the pocket, it felt a lot different while watching the game. Ultimately, it was Russell Wilson leading the way for the Seahawks, both on the ground and through the air, and his biggest target downfield was rookie wide receiver DK Metcalf.
While the overall numbers weren't impressive on the ground, Marshawn Lynch had three moments that stood out. Two of those moments involved Lynch driving defensive backs to the ground after catching a pass, and the other was a vintage Beast Mode run to get into the end zone. Adam and Brandan also discuss the Jadeveon Clowney hit on Carson Wentz and Doug Pederson's fourth quarter choices to go for touchdowns rather than field goals late in the game.
