This week, Karen and Griffin chat with actor, general klutz, and Artistic Director of Theatre; Just Because - Hanna Fridhed! Theatre; Just Because is a community-driven, semi-professional, independent theatre company in nistawâyâw / Fort McMurray. Their mission is to empower and develop artists through theatre productions and workshops, and by developing unique opportunities for local artists to create meaningful and impactful theatre experiences, and to foster ongoing artist growth in our local context. Their programming includes independent theatre productions (upcoming: Purge by Sofi Oksanen), the newly launched Quarantheatre Series in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Youth Play Production program, play readings, Workshop Series, the New Play Development Series, Community Director program, and several events organized for Alberta Culture Days and igNIGHT.
